CHOCO-QUOTE OF THE MONTH
"Las cosas claras y el chocolate espeso." This Spanish proverb translates to “Ideas should be clear and chocolate thick."

CHOCO-PHRASE OF THE MONTH
In South America, BABA DE CACAO is the name given to the sweet, mucilaginous pulp that encloses the 30 to 50 large seeds found in a cacao pod. It is made into an alcoholic beverage and has been enjoyed by indigenous people for centuries. Now you can enjoy a chocolate creation by Claudio Corallo that includes this prized part of the chocolate pod. Carefully selected raisins are first soaked for 3 months into liquor produced from the extracted pulp of cacao from the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe on the west coast of Africa. These invigorated pieces of raisins are then added to eating chocolate grown and manufactured on the islands for an incredibly unique taste experience. These heavenly morsels can be ordered online.
SWEETEST GIFT AROUND
Holiday gift certificates are available. This year, why just give chocolates when you can give a chocolate experience? These certificates are good for any publicly scheduled Neighborhood Chocolate Walks and are valid a year from the date of purchase. Give a unique gift for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, or any other special occasion for the adult chocolate lovers in your life.
MORE CHOCO-PHILOSOPHY
“If any man has drunk a little too deeply from the cup of physical pleasure; if he has spent too much time at his desk that should have been spent asleep; if his fine spirits have become temporarily dulled; if he finds the air too damp, the minutes too slow, and the atmosphere too heavy to withstand; if he is obsessed by a fixed idea which bars him from any freedom of thought: if he is any of these poor creatures, we say, let him be given a good pint of amber-flavored chocolate... and marvels will be performed. This is quoted from the avid food lover Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin (1755-1826).
