Arm Chair Chocolate Journey
Seated events designed for smaller groups or groups in a more structured setting.

• Through a multi-media presentation, explore the natural and human history of cacao and examine the steps needed to transform it into the chocolate we all know and love.
• Props and other visuals on hand.
• A selection of bar chocolates will then be tasted and rated to discover your favorites.
• 6 person minimum.
• 1 to 2 hours in length.
• $15/person includes tasting 6 different bar chocolates.
• $18.50/person includes tasting 8 different bar chocolates, and one specially selected chocolate confection as a finale.
• $23/person includes 10 different chocolates, and two hand selected chocolate confections.

The latter two options include concluding with sampling choice confections from some of our favorite Portland Metro chocolatiers. It’s a nice way to experience how the complexities of chocolate blend with other ingredients.

Free-Style Chocolating

If you have larger group, you may want to consider our less structured tasting format that we have done for larger groups and corporate events.

• A brief introduction of chocolate and tasting tips is given.
• Then guests are invited to circulate around the room visiting 8 different "stations" at their own pace, tasting and rating the chocolates.
• Suited for groups of 20 or more.
• 1 hour in length.
• The fee for this program is $150 plus a fixed price per person for the chocolate, depending on the size of the group. The fee includes preparation, travel, chocolate, set up at the location, facilitating the tasting, sharing information, sparkling water and crackers to clean our palates between chocolates, information sheet on the featured chocolates, and clean up. The chocolate fee includes 8 different bar chocolates that can either be all milk, all dark or a mixture of both, and will include West Coast, artisan, and European brands.
